I am an art student at The Center of Music and Art in Wintersville, Ohio. My three year association with the center has been very enjoyable. All of my supplies are purchased at the center because I believe they are of the highest quality and reasonably priced. It is a real pleasure being there because of the friendly knowledgeable staff. 

My art teachers, Diana Holcombe and Larry King, have given me instructions in all different mediums: Diana with drawing in colored pencil and graphite pencil, and Larry with Bob Ross oil paintings. Their patience with my bumbling attempts have encouraged me to love art more and more. I now enter art shows and encourage all interested neophyte artists to take lessons and enter art shows because of my association with CMA.

One of my friends, Alison McGrew, decided to take drawing lessons from Mrs. Holcombe. After a few months Alison entered the winter art show at CMA and won a blue ribbon on her first try.

I have so much confidence in CMA that I recently had an antique banjo there to have it repaired and priced.

I love the place. It is my escape from my very stressful Junior High teaching position.

I have this past fall started participating in the adult drawing class at The Center of Music and Art. I started for one month just to see how I liked the class and will continue with this class for some time to come. I take the class with Diana Holcombe and find her both instructive and encouraging in our class both with me and others. Her encouragement and pride in her students’ work is refreshing to say the least! She is very clear in her instructions and easy to understand. The center is also great in working with me; in order to continue the classes there are times I need to take business calls, and the freedom to do that allows me to continue.

If I had the time there is no question in my mind I would not only take the drawing class but would also take the painting classes offered. The inventory is great and usually has the item I need or know that it will be in within days.
