The first ever all female drum competition is about to begin! With sponsors such as Crush Drums, TRX Cymbals, Vater, Evans, SKB, Drum! Magazine, Tom Tom Magazine, and many more, this is sure to be a great competition.

Entries will be accepted at the website http://www.hitlikeagirl2012.com/from February 1 through March 31. Female drumset players can enter a 3-minute video performance, with first round winners announced May 1. 

The final rounds will be judged by professional female percussionists including Sheila E, Jess Bowen, Susie Ibarra, Dawn Richardson, Kim Thompson, and Hannah Ford.
