Home About CMA
Our Core Philosophy

The Center of Music and Art was founded on the philosophy that each person is a creative entity. Each of us can learn to use our creative resources to build a life that is richer, fuller and more productive in all ways. We believe that life is a creative venture, an art, and that embracing an art will help life in all aspects. Therefore, we maintain a facility, courses, instructors, supplies and a creative atmosphere to help people from all walks of life discover and develop the wondrous art in their lives. In education, and in life, it is personal attention that can bring out the best in us. So, even in group classes, The Center of Music and Art focuses on personal attention.

Our excellent teacher to student ratio means that attention to the individual is a central part of our instructional philosophy. Children need to learn early that they have creative potential, ready to be released to help them enjoy school more, be open to learning and discover new ways to have fun. Because of this, The Center offers a special enrichment program that can give kids of eighteen months and older a creative edge. In this weekly class, they will learn some fundamental skills and have structured fun in music, art and drama. And they will do it in a dynamic, entertaining environment, guided by well-qualified instructors. It's a great supplement to pre-school classes.
