Cecile Baird Colored Pencil Workshop
April 16th and 17th, 2010
9:00 am to 3:30 pm
Cost $135.00 plus supplies In this workshop Cecile will instruct students in how to create beautiful and dramatic still-life compositions using colored pencils. The workshop will focus on learning how to create the light-filled quality of an oil painting with the ease of colored pencil. Hands-on demonstrations and group techniques will be employed throughout the workshop. Artists of all levels are welcome. Signed copies of Cecile Baird's book, "Painting Light with Colored Pencil" will be available at the workshop. Stop by the Center today to sign up for this exciting class. Workshop with Portrait Artist Deborah Kepes Tuesday May 4th from 6:00- 8:00 PM, you are invited to attend a free live public demonstration as Deborah creates the portrait from a life size bust of a nobleman. Wednesday May 5th, 5:00 - 8:00 PM Color Theory $85- Explore and Identify how an understanding of Color Theory can be used to find Continuity of Color and cohesiveness in your artwork. Thursday thru Saturday, May 6th - 8th from 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM $235 - In this drawing and painting workshop the first day you will learn to draw by studying an old masters drawing and reproducing it in a method that will give you greater control and ability. The next two days you will have an opportunity to draw and paint the culpture below using this method.
